Notes:

For this level 4 course, use either the PDF mini-textbooks – print out copies for each student, or if you have a projector or large screen you can use PowerPoint lessons. In both cases, follow the lesson through as it appears in the materials. The lesson is self-explanatory, and there are additional teaching notes below.

Lesson procedure:

Lesson objectives

Learn about different places

Talk about wearing different clothes

Read about things you need to take out with you

Speak about the things you have in your bag

1. Review winter vocabulary

Students review the previous lesson.

Finally, put students into pairs. One student says a place from the page and his/her partner (with book closed) tries to say the sentence for that place. Do for all 4 places and they swap roles.

2b: Chorus the 6 places and list of vocabulary items. Students then match the items to the places. Check answers as a class.

Next, have pairs play a guessing game – one student says imaginary items in their bag and his/her partner has to guess where they are going.
