Fun ESL alphabet classroom game

Try this fast-paced alphabet team relay game to get students writing the alphabet.

Divide the class into two teams and line up each team a few steps from the board. One student on each team holds a marker/chalk. On your shout, 1 member from each team runs to the board and writes the letter A and shouts it out: “A”. They run back and pass the marker/chalk to the next student on their team who runs to the board and writes/shouts “B” after the “A”. Continue until all the letters of the alphabet are written in order on the board. The team to finish first is the winner.
