Fun ESL time & frequency expressions classroom activity

Try this frequency survey to get students using time and frequency language.

Write common activities on the board (e.g., eat breakfast, play sports, watch TV, read a book, do homework, go to the park). Give each student a survey sheet with the same list. In pairs or small groups, students take turns asking questions like “How often do you play sports?” or “Do you watch TV every day?” Partners answer using frequency expressions (e.g., always, sometimes, once a week, never). After interviewing, students share one interesting result with the class (“Tom plays sports three times a week!”).
