Fun ESL days of the week classroom activity

Try this week schedule chat to get students talking about their routines using the days of the week.

Write the seven days on the board in order. Give students simple prompt cards (e.g., school, homework, tennis, pizza night, [hide_on_uk]movie[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]film[/hide_on_us], park, family time, etc.). In pairs, students take turns choosing a card and asking their partner a question such as, “What do you do on Monday?” or “When do you play tennis?”. Partners answer using the target language (e.g., “I play tennis on Wednesday” or “We have pizza on Friday”).
