Fun ESL time & times of the day classroom activity

Try this clock question relay to get students speaking and saying time expressions.

Give each student a clock (try our craft clock!) and put them in pairs. Call out different times (e.g., 7:45, 12:30, 3:15). One student sets their clock and asks their partner “What time is it?”. The partner answers (e.g., “It’s quarter to eight”, “It’s half past twelve”), then they switch. After a few rounds, mix it up with daily routine questions like, “What time do you eat lunch?” or “When do you go to bed?” to [hide_on_uk]practice[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]practise[/hide_on_us] times of the day in real conversation.
