Fun ESL living room vocab classroom activity

Try this simple “Living room draw” activity to get students using living room vocabulary in full sentences.

Draw an empty room on the board and tell students it is a living room. Then elicit items to go in the living room (e.g. sofa, TV, table, lamp, window, etc.) – each time have the student that says the item come up to the board and draw it in the living room. As they do they say short sentences, such as, “The sofa is here”, “The TV is on this wall”. Continue until the room is complete.
