Fun ESL kitchen vocab classroom activity

Try this “Kitchen menu chat” game to get students talking about food and kitchen items.

Ask students to imagine they are planning a meal in a kitchen. Call out a mealtime (like breakfast, lunch, dinner) and students take turns naming food to eat and kitchen items they would use to cook and use for that meal, e.g. “I’d have eggs for breakfast. I’d fry them in a frying pan. I’d use a plate, a knife and a fork to eat them”.
