Fun ESL fruit classroom activity

Try this “Find the fruit” activity to help students review fruit vocabulary.

Have everyone sit with you on the floor. Hold a box of plastic fruit and take out the first fruit. Elicit the word (e.g. “an apple”) and then throw the fruit somewhere in the classroom. Continue until all the fruit in your box are scattered around the classroom. Then ask one student, “Kento, please bring me (an apple)” and that student has to stand up, find the correct fruit, bring it back to you and place in your box, saying the fruit word. You can extend the activity by also asking each student, “Do you like (apples)?”.
