Fun ESL planets flashcard game

Try this “Mission to the planets” game using your planets flashcards.

Students, in small groups, sit around a table. A stack of planet cards is at the [hide_on_uk]center[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]centre[/hide_on_us], face down. A student draws the first card and says the planet’s name and a fact, e.g. “This is Mars. It has red dust.” Then the next student draws a card: “This is Jupiter. It’s very big.” Continue until all planet cards are drawn. At the end, students reorder the planets in order from the sun using memory and talk: “Earth comes after Venus,” “Pluto is the farthest.”
