Family interests

Level: Pre-intermediate (A2 – B1).

In this lesson students talk and read about role models for teenagers and different generation’s attitudes towards recreational pursuits.

Members get the PDF mini textbook and PowerPoint presentation.

  • Read and understand an informal email from a teenager to her parents.
  • Talk about a person you admire and say what you can learn from them.
  • Notice differences in formal question forms and interview another person using some of the items you explore.

Notes:

For this ESL teens course, use either the PDF mini-textbooks (print out copies for each student), or if you have a projector or large screen you can use PowerPoint lessons slides. In both cases, follow the lesson through as it appears in the materials.

The lesson is self-explanatory and doesn’t require any planning – just read through the lesson first to familiarize yourself with the lesson.
