Weather worksheets for teaching ESL kids

Fun ESL weather classroom activity

Try this simple “Weather draw” game to help students use weather words in a fun way.

Put students into small groups of 3 or 4 and give each group a large sheet of paper. Say a sentence and have everyone draw on the group paper: each sentence will be a fun weather scene, such as “Draw … a cute cat sleeping on a sunny day … a bird playing tennis on a rainy day … a robot skiing on a snowy day … etc.”. Each round look at each group’s paper and award one point to the best drawing in that group. At the end, the student with the most points in each group is the winner!
