Fun ESL shapes classroom game
Try this playful “Shape hunt” activity to get students moving and saying shape words.
Place a few geometric shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star, heart, etc.) around the classroom — these can be printed shapes, toys, or objects with those shapes. Call out a shape and a simple action, for example: “Find a triangle and hop!”, “Find a circle and wiggle your fingers!” Students move to the object that matches the shape and do the action. Then, have them say the sentence together: “This is a triangle!”
