Fun ESL weather flashcard game
Try this “What shall we wear?” game using your weather flashcards.
You need a set of weather cards as well as clothes, footwear and accessories flashcards. Lay the clothes, footwear and accessories cards around the classroom and have everyone stand up. Select a weather flashcard and put it on the board for all to see. Say, “What shall we wear when it’s (rainy)?”. Students must rush around to find a card that fits the weather (e.g. coat, jacket, boots, umbrella) – you might allow some other cards (e.g. [hide_on_uk]pants[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]trousers[/hide_on_us], cap, etc.). Students who find, hold up and say the word for a suitable card win a point. They need to answer with the structure: “When it’s (rainy) I (wear a coat)”. Continue for all the weather cards – the student with the most points at the end is the winner!
