Fun ESL times of the day flashcard game

Try this fast-paced question / answer game using your times of the day flashcards.

Shuffle the flashcards (morning, afternoon, evening, night) and place them face down in a stack. Students take turns drawing a card and saying the time phrase: “It’s morning!” Then you ask them a simple question relating to the time, for example:

  • “What do you do in the morning?” → “In the morning I (eat breakfast).”
  • “What did you eat for dinner yesterday evening?” → “Yesterday evening I ate (pizza).”
  • “What time do you go to bed at night?” → “At night I go to bed at (9 o’clock).”
