Fun ESL alphabet picture flashcard game

Try this visual memory game using your lowercase alphabet flashcards (no letters shown).

Shuffle the alphabet cards that show only the picture (no letter), and place them face up on the table or floor. Students take turns picking a card, naming the picture (e.g., “apple”), then saying what the first letter is (e.g., “a”). After each turn, the student says both: “apple → a”. Afterwards you can play ‘concentration’ by shuffling in the letters cards.
