Fun ESL alphabet flashcard game

Try this fast-paced letter-match activity using your lowercase alphabet flashcards.

Spread the lowercase letter cards (a–z) face up on the floor or table. Call out a letter sound (for example: “/m/”) and ask a student to find the card with the correct lowercase letter. After they pick it up, they say the letter and name something that begins with it (e.g., “m — mouse”). Then turn over that card to hide it, call another sound, and continue until all cards are gone.
