Fun ESL classroom objects activity

Try this quick classroom scavenger hunt to get students using classroom objects and stationery vocabulary in real context.

Before class, place (or lightly “hide”) real items around the room (e.g. pencil, pen, ruler, [hide_on_uk]eraser[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]rubber[/hide_on_us], glue, scissors, notebook). Put students in pairs and give them a list of items to find, such as 3 pencils, 2 glue sticks, etc. Students search and, each time they find items, they must bring them back (or point to them) and say a sentence such as, “These are 3 rulers” or “I found the scissors”.
