Fun ESL Christmas classroom activity

Try this festive “Christmas guessing game” to get students using holiday vocabulary and speaking in full sentences.

Think of a Christmas word (for example [hide_on_uk]Santa[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]Father Christmas[/hide_on_us], reindeer, Christmas tree, present, snowman). Give the class three clues, one at a time, such as: “It is big”, “It is green”, “We decorate it”. Students guess after each clue: “Is it a Christmas tree?”. The student who guesses correctly thinks of the next Christmas word and gives the clues.
