Fun ESL Wh questions classroom activity

Try this “Wh question relay” game to help students form and answer Wh questions.

Have students stand up and find a partner. Call out a single word that can be formed into a question, such as “food”, “birthday”, “live”, etc. One student needs to ask their partner a wh question using that word (“What is your [hide_on_uk]favorite[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]favourite[/hide_on_us] food?”, “When is your birthday?”. “Where do you live?”, etc.). Then tell everyone to find a new partner and repeat, so that students are mingling and asking each other questions.
