Pronouns and Possessives worksheets for teaching ESL kids

Fun ESL pronouns & possessives classroom game

Try this pronoun swap conversation game to help students say subject/object pronouns and possessive forms.

Give students, in pairs, prompt cards with questions written on them, such as “Is that your pencil?”, “Did he bring his backpack?”, “Are they wearing jeans?”. Partners take turns asking and answering the questions using the correct pronoun or possessive (e.g. “Yes, it’s my pencil”, “No, he forgot his”, “Yes, they are wearing them”). Then swap roles so everyone gets a turn asking and answering sentences with different pronouns and possessive forms.
