Fun ESL likes & dislikes classroom activity

Try this easy “Find someone who…” speaking game to help students ask about likes and dislikes.

Give students a simple prompt, such as: “Find someone who likes apples.” Students walk around the classroom and ask classmates, “Do you like apples?”. When someone responds “Yes, I do.” the student says “Great!” gives a thumbs up. Then switch prompts: “Find someone who doesn’t like carrots.”, “Find someone whose favorite [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us] is blue.”, etc.

After a few rounds, gather the class and have volunteers share what they learned: e.g., “Midori likes apples.”, “Santiago doesn’t like carrots.”, etc.
