Prepositions of location flashcards for teaching ESL kids

Fun ESL prepositions of location flashcard game

Try this “pencil case prepositions” game using your prepositions of location flashcards.

Put students in pairs with a set of preposition cards and their pencil cases. One student draws a card from the set, looks at it and then places an object (e.g. a pencil sharpener) in relation to the pencil case as shown on the card. For example, if the student has an “in” card, they place the pencil sharpener in the pencil case. Their partner has to say the correct sentence: “The pencil sharpener is in the pencil case”. They take turns until all the cards are used.
