Emotions / Feelings flashcards for teaching ESL kids

Fun ESL emotions & feelings flashcard game

Try this quick “How do you feel?” game using your emotions & feelings flashcards.

Lay out your feelings cards around the classroom or on the board. Ask a student, “How are you today?” – They pick a card and say: “I’m (happy).” Then ask, “Why do you feel (happy)?” (“I feel happy because it’s sunny.”) After a few rounds, play a gesture version: you act out a feeling (shiver = cold, jump up = surprised, frown = angry) and students race to the correct card and shout out the feeling word.
