Fun ESL adjectives flashcard game

Try this “Show me the adjective!” game using your adjectives flashcards.

Place a selection of adjective cards (big, small, tall, short, fast, slow, strong, weak, happy, sad, hot, cold, etc.) around the classroom or on the board. Call out an adjective and students quickly point to or stand by the correct card while saying either the word (e.g. “long”) or a sentence (e.g. “Her hair is long”) depending on the level of your students. After a few rounds, hold up an object, picture, or do a gesture/action and ask, “Which adjective is it?”. Again, students reply with a word or sentence. Finally have students work in pairs doing the same activity.
