Fun ESL [hide_on_uk]colors[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colours[/hide_on_us] flashcard game

Try this lively “Touch the [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us]!” game using your [hide_on_uk]colors[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colours[/hide_on_us] flashcards.

Place all the [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us] cards on walls around the classroom. Call out a [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us] and have students to run to touch it shouting out, “It’s (blue)!” After a few rounds, hold up classroom objects (a pencil, book, [hide_on_uk]eraser[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]rubber[/hide_on_us], bag, etc.) and ask, “What [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us] is it?” – students shout out the correct [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us]. Then let students take turns picking an object for the class to call out the [hide_on_uk]color[/hide_on_uk][hide_on_us]colour[/hide_on_us].
